GenYLife Design (pronounced 'Jen Why Life Design') was founded in response to an unmet need in our communities: A lack of focus, advocacy and life skills support for teens and young adults ages 11-25 (Generation Y) as they make their way in today's changing world...full of opportunity. 

What We Do

We design and administer youth empowerment programming, including out-of-school time programs for pre-teens and teens who may have social, emotional and behavioral issues. We also offer life coaching and other support services and resources to help young adults ages 18-25 become more independent, as well as provide assistance to parents and guardians as they support their youth forward in life. Many of our programs and services are also offered in Spanish.

Our Funding and Clients

Our funding comes primarily from the State Department of Mental Health, from behavioral health organizations, including Northeast Behavioral Health, Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, from alternative schools, and from grants where we partner with non profit organizations. Our programs are offered through schools and youth and community organizations such as The Salvation Army, Boys and Girls Clubs, YMCAs and The Lawrence Community Connections.
